NCT DREAM Breaks Personal Record With Over 2 Million Stock Pre-Orders For “Glitch Mode”
NCT DREAM has set another new personal record for stock pre-orders!
The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to an album’s release. The figure is the estimated demand calculated using various factors, including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans.
The group’s upcoming album “Glitch Mode” exceeded 2 million stock pre-orders. As of March 27, it recorded a total of 2,030,539 stock pre-orders, which is an increase of about 300,000 from NCT DREAM’s previous personal best record of 1.7 million stock pre-orders for their first full album “Hot Sauce.”
The upcoming album consists of a total of 11 songs including the title track “Glitch Mode.” NCT DREAM’s new album will be released on various streaming sites on March 28 at 6 p.m. KST, and the music video for “Glitch Mode” will also be released via YouTube at the same time. Ahead of their return, the group will hold a comeback live on their YouTube channel to talk about “Glitch Mode.”
Boy band NCT Dream’s upcoming second full-length album “Glitch Mode” surpassed 2,030,000 preorders as of Sunday, according to SM Entertainment on Monday.
This marks NCT Dream’s highest preorder sales ever. NCT Dream’s previous release, its first full-length album “Hot Sauce” (2021), sold 1,710,000.
“Glitch Mode” will feature 11 tracks: the title track of the same name, “Fire Alarm,” “Arcade,” “It’s Yours,” “Teddy Bear,” “Replay,” “Saturday Drip,” “Better Than Gold,” “Drive,” “Never Goodbye” and “Rewind.”
The song “Glitch Mode,” or “Buffering” for its Korean title, is about not knowing how to act in front of a crush, like having a glitch. Member Mark participated in writing the rap portion.
NCT Dream will host a livestream on its YouTube channel at 5 p.m. on Monday to celebrate the release. The album is set to drop at 6 p.m. on the same day.
NCT Dream debuted in 2016 as a subunit of boy band NCT with its song “Chewing Gum.” The group consists of seven members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin and Jisung. Mark is Korean-Canadian, Renjun and Chenle are Chinese, and the rest of the members are Korean. The band is best known for hit tracks including “My First and Last” (2017), “Boom” (2019), “Hot Sauce” (2021) and “Hello Future” (2021).
