The University of Exeter (usually abbreviated as Exon. for post-nominals) is a public university in South West England. Most of its work is conducted in the city of Exeter, Devon, where it is the principal higher education institution. It belongs to the 1994 Group, an association of 19 of the United Kingdom's smaller research-intensive universities.
